A few smiles for the Nine Days

While it may be inappropriate to celebrate during the Nine Days, I'm sure a few giggles are okay, especially if they help remind us of the perils of careless speech:

  1. So, it's mid-July. How are the kids doing with their Summer Reading lists? Yeah, us too. Here's a video clip for all teachers, and those who appreciate them, of Taylor Mali, high school teacher and Slam Poet:

    "What do teachers really make?"
(warning: mild profanity, but worth it.)

  2. What I need now is a few well-placed pauses:

You can create your own error message at: Atom Smasher Sign Generator (warning: this is a too much fun and a time sink.)

  3. This seemed appropriate today:

Savage Chickens is a daily cartoon on a sticky note, drawn by Doug Savage. You can get a smile each morning by subscribing to his rss feed.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled mourning practices...
